Find Spot: Castlecary on the Antonine Wall

Condition: Complete
Description: Mouthpiece with 24 mm diameter rim, 20 mm diameter cup, 11 mm deep and throat 5.5 mm. This may be the mouthpiece said to have been found at Castlecary on the Antonine Wall in 1902. According to the contemporary report, a mouthpiece was found along with very fragmentary remains of a tuba. I have been unable to locate these fragment or to tie up this mouthpiece with the find at Castlecary.
